LERNOUT & HAUSPIE BEREIKT AKKOORD OVER AFVLOEIINGSPLAN
IEPER, BELGIE - 11 januari, 2001 - In de Ondernemingsraad van Lernout
en Hauspie Speech Products werd vandaag een akkoord bereikt over de
afvloeiingsregeling voor 51 werknemers die zullen ontslagen worden en
9 tijdelijke contracten die worden stopgezet. Het akkoord kwam er na
een eerste informatie- en consultatieronde en na een bevestiging in
een referendum met alle medewerkers deze ochtend in Ieper en Wemmel,
die het akkoord met 90 % hebben goedgekeurd.
De vertegenwoordigers van het personeel van L&H lieten zich bijstaan
door de gewestelijke secretarissen van de LBC, Josiane Duthieuw en
Jeroen Van Damme, en BBTK, Freddy Vandersteene.
Het plan omvat de oprichting van een tewerkstellingscel binnen het
bedrijf voor de begeleiding van de ontslagen personeelsleden met als
doel hen zo snel mogelijk aan een nieuwe job te helpen. Ook voor de
personeelsleden die blijven wordt een opvang voorzien waar medewerkers
met hun persoonlijke vragen of problemen terecht kunnen in deze
turbulente tijden voor L&H.
Het financiele luik van het plan voorziet in een ontslagregeling
volgens de formule Claeys met enkele specifieke bijkomende regelingen
o.m. i.v.m. mobiliteit, de behandeling van tijdelijke contracten en en
de terugkeer naar huis van buitenlandse werknemers die hiervoor
opteren.
Het akkoord werd eveneens gescreend door het college van
commissarissen, aangesteld door de rechtbank in het kader van het
concordaat.
Geert Wybo, secretaris en Bert Vermeiren, voorzitter van de
ondernemingsraad vinden het plan evenwichtig en correct voor de
medewerkers die moeten vertrekken en benadrukken dat het de intentie
was van alle partijen om snel duidelijkheid te creeren naar de
medewerkers toe, een intentie die volledig werd bijgetreden door de
syndicale organisaties en de commissarissen.
Ann De Somere, personeelsdirecteur van L&H in Belgie is ervan
overtuigd dat de meeste ontslagen personeelsleden snel een andere job
zullen vinden. Het profiel van de meeste betrokkenen is een
hooggeschoold en veel gevraagd profiel. De activiteiten van de
