DUTCH-> Deze kleine mooie blonde dame laat blues, soul en jazz in haar
uppie versmelten. Vormgegeven in prachtige zelfgeschreven songs die -
geheel in de traditie van de Amerikaanse singer/songwriter-traditie -
zich door een sterke poëtische lading onderscheiden. Recht vanuit het
hart gebracht. Zij heeft een prachtige donkere stem, om kippenvel van te
krijgen. En een sterke 'stage-performance'. Zij zingt in het Engels,
alsof het haar moedertaal is. Christina Lux begeleidt zichzelf op
elektrische gitaar en weet te improviseren. Geheel autodidact: van top
tot teen!
Een van de 'rising stars' die we deze zomer in het naburige prachtige
openluchttheater Burg Wilhelmstein in Würselen ontdekten, en ook meteen
engageerden. Deze zeer fraaie dame heeft het gewoon! Van harte
aanbevolen.
DEUTSCH-> Soul, Blues und Jazz verschmelzen. Eine Schublade gibt es
nicht. Eine Autodidaktin, die mit viel Charisma ihre Freiheit in der
Interpretation genießt und auslebt. Eine außergewöhnliche und
eigenwillige Solokünstlerin, die mit ihren Texten und mit ihrer
eindringlichen, sinnlichen Stimme berührt. Eng verwachsen mit der
englischen Sprache lehnen ihre Songs an der Tradition amerikanischer und
englischer Singer-,Songwriter an und bewahren dennoch einen eigenen
Stil. Poesie, die zwischen persönlichen Geschichten und feinen
Beobachtungen pendelt. Authentizität, Liebe, Nähe und Freiheit. Sie
singt mit dieser dunklen, samtigen Gänsehautstimme, wie man sie nur
selten in Deutschland findet. Nur von ihrer Gitarre begleitet wird es
nah und intensiv, verschmitzt und frech, kraftvoll und satt.
ENGLISH-> This little blonde woman sings right into your heart and her
voice seems to emerge from an old, wise soul sometimes. She plays a
groovy, jazzy, electric guitar that melts around her voice or rocks it
into earthy rhythm. Beautiful fingerpicking you'll find on her acoustic
guitar on her ballads. Pure and soulful. She is an autodidact from head
to toe and loves to free herself by improvising complete tunes on the
spot in her concerts. An unusual and unique solo artist who will capture
you with a luscious and sensual voice singing from the depth of her
heart. She has close ties with the american language and the old
tradition of singer/songwriters. Through the last three years of playing
solo concerts she developed her own unique style. Poetry tossed between
little personal stories describing what we all experience in one way or
another and a fine talent for observation. Insights and outlooks, a
search for authenticity, nearness and freedom. "Where is your love?" she
asks in her only german lyric, sad about the cruel facts of racism all
over the world and especially in her own country where history doesn't
ever seem to teach anything. She sings with this mellow, low voice that
one rarely comes across in Germany.
