UCB kiest TIBCO Software voor wereldwijde integratie-oplossing
~ TIBCO biedt toonaangevende farmaceutische en chemische ontwikkelaar EAI, portal en B2B oplossing ~
17 december 2001 - TIBCO Software Inc., een toonaangevende leverancier van totale business integratie-oplossingen, heeft vandaag aangekondigd dat UCB, specialist op het gebied van farmacie, chemicaliën en films, TIBCO's volledige softwareproductlijn heeft geselecteerd. Hiermee wordt het bedrijf uitgerust met Enterprise Application Integration (EAI), snelle portaalontwikkeling en B2B connectiviteit.
TIBCO werd gekozen vanwege de schaalbaarheid van haar platform (zodat de UCB Group verder kan uitbreiden) en haar kennis op farmaceutisch en chemisch gebied. Recente projecten bij GlaxoWellcome, Schering Plough en Bayer plukken reeds de vruchten van TIBCO's EAI oplossingen.
UCB is in 1928 in Brussel opgericht en sindsdien uitgegroeid tot één van Europa's grootste en oudste farmaceutische producenten, met een specialisme in diverse medicijnsoorten. Op het gebied van medicijnontwikkeling voor allergieën wordt de UCB Group momenteel erkend als wereldleider. De UCB Group heeft wereldwijd meer dan 9.900 medewerkers in dienst.
TIBCO zal UCB wereldwijd voorzien van B2B connectiviteit voor haar leveranciers. Binnen de UCB Group zal TIBCO ERP en SAP systemen integreren naast installatie- en documentmanagementoplossingen. Hierdoor zullen UCB medewerkers worden voorzien van bedrijfsproces- en commerciële informatie.
Erik Hansen, President EMEA bij TIBCO Software zei, "We zijn verheugd dat UCB TIBCO software heeft uitgekozen voor haar wereldwijde integratiebehoeftes." Hansen vervolgde, "Dit is een grote deal voor TIBCO en een bewijs van TIBCO s expertise in de farmaceutische markt. Doordat UCB heeft gekozen voor TIBCO's complete productaanbod zullen niet alleen hun interne integratiebehoeftes worden opgelost maar zullen zij ook worden voorzien van een continue B2B oplossing."
