Borland versnelt applicatie-ontwikkelcyclus met hoogwaardige embedded database ~ Borland' InterBase® 7 biedt snelle, flexibele en betaalbare deploymentoplossing ~
6 november 2002 - Borland Software Corporation breidt haar deploymenttak uit met InterBase® 7 - een hoogwaardige embedded database die de productiviteit van ontwikkelaars verhoogt en de prestaties van applicaties verbetert. In tegenstelling tot de meeste databases vereist InterBase weinig tot geen databaseadministratie, is relatief snel te installeren en is ontworpen om de onderhoudskosten te verlagen. Hiermee onderstreept Borland opnieuw haar strategie om softwareontwikkeling te versnellen en bedrijven met complexe gedistribueerde applicatiebehoeften van een snelle return on investment te voorzien.
InterBase 7 wordt veel gebruikt in de financiële-, medische- en transportsector bij complexe bedrijfsapplicaties. InterBase 7 is ontworpen om de tijd die nodig is voor het ontwikkelen, deployen en onderhouden van applicaties op verschillende platformen aanzienlijk te verminderen. InterBase speelt in op de behoeften van Fortune 500 bedrijven en wordt door bijna één miljoen gebruikers wereldwijd gezien als een zeer betrouwbare deploymentdatabase.
"Een hoogwaardige, schaalbare, embedded database is precies wat ISV s, OEM s en corporate ontwikkelgroepen zoeken wanneer ze data dichter bij de klant willen brengen," zei Theresa Lanowitz, research director bij Gartner. "Met deze oplossing gaat Borland aan de ontwikkelgroep voorbij en dieper het bedrijf in."
Doordat de database eenvoudig te gebruiken is, een lage total cost of ownership heeft en weinig geheugen en minimale administratie nodig is, , biedt Borland InterBase 7 zowel ontwikkelaars als bedrijven meer flexibiliteit bij het deployen van bedrijfsapplicaties.

Borland' InterBase' 7 is een hoogwaardige, cross-platform embedded relationele database.
