31 Jan 2003 Euronext: Wijziging regelementen in AEX-, Midkap- en All-share- index
Euronext Mededeling 2003-11

Euronext Indices B.V. maakt bekend dat de reglementen van de AEX-index, de Amsterdam Midkap index en de Amsterdam All-Share index worden gewijzigd.

1. De wijziging voor de AEX-index en de Amsterdam Midkap index betreft een verschuiving van de verantwoordelijkheid over de calculatie van settlement prijzen. Deze verantwoordelijkheid verschuift van Euronext Indices B.V. naar Euronext Amsterdam N.V.

De settlement procedure verdwijnt uit het AEX-index reglement en het Amsterdam Midkap index® reglement. De procedure blijft te vinden in het Reference Book van Euronext Amsterdam Derivative Markets.

De wijzigingen voor de Amsterdam All-Share index betreffen het volgende:

2. Peildata en effectieve data van herwegingen worden aangepast naar het schema van de AEX-index en de Amsterdam Midkap index.

3. De effectieve datum voor de Amsterdam All-Share Smaller Companies index zal direct op de peildatum volgen en zal worden afgestemd op de herweging van de AEX-index en de Amsterdam Midkap index.

4. De omschrijving van de volledige Amsterdam All-Share index serie wordt geconcentreerd in hoofdstuk 1 van het reglement.

5. De peildatum voor de periodieke herclassificatie van de fondsen uit de Amsterdam All-Share index voor de Amsterdam All-Share Sector indices blijft gehandhaafd op de derde vrijdag van de maand; effectief de tweede handelsdag van de maand daarop volgend.

Dit houdt in dat de peildatum voor de periodieke herweging van de Amsterdam All-Share Smaller Companies index en de peildatum voor de herclassificatie van alle fondsen voor de Amsterdam All-Share Sector Indices niet langer aan elkaar gelijk zijn. Daarom wordt een nieuw hoofdstuk opgenomen met daarin de omschrijving en de criteria voor de Amsterdam All-Share Smaller Companies index.

6. Euronext Indices B.V. maakt voorts van de gelegenheid gebruik om enkele kleine updates, verduidelijkingen en correcties aan te brengen.

De details zijn opgenomen in de appendix.

In verband met de aankondigingsperiode van 3 maanden, worden alle veranderingen effectief op 1 mei 2003.

APPENDIX

1. Deze wijziging heeft gevolgen voor artikel 2.12 en 2.13 van het AEX-index®

Regel 2.12 van de AEX-index en van de Amsterdam Midkap index®

2.12 Every month the compiler of the AEX-index will calculate a settlement

price for financial products based on the index.

of the index value measured every minute during the last thirty minutes

preceding the calculation of the settlement price (including the time of

calculation).

the average of the index value measured every fifteen seconds during the

calculate the settlement price with the result being rounded off to two

decimal places.

5.3.12 Newly listed stocks on Euronext Amsterdam shall be added to the

Amsterdam All-Share Index the trading day following the first day of trading

at the official closing price of the first day of trading.

Regel 8.8

8.8 Substitution of currency
If a currency is converted into another currency or if a unit of account,

e.g. the ECU, is converted into a currency or ceases to exist as result of a

change in legislation and another currency is introduced as a substitute

currency, calculation of the index in these currencies shall (in the case of

a legal obligation thereto) or may be fixed on the basis of the relevant legally established exchange rates with due regard to the laws governing the rounding off of such amounts. In the absence of a legally established exchange rate or rules for rounding off amounts, the aforementioned calculation shall be made in accordance with the method determined by the compiler in consultation with the supervisor of the index.
In addition, the introduction of a currency may result in changes to the

value of the index, the composition of the index, the selection and/or

weighting of each security in the index. This provision shall apply

accordingly during a transitional period in connection with the conversion

of a currency or the conversion of unit of account into a currency.
