Five lectures from the interdisciplinary 55th Meeting of Nobel Laureates, involving holders of the Nobel Prizes for Chemistry, Physics and Medicine, can be viewed as video streams from 27.06.2005 on the Web site www.lindau-nobel.de. The 30-minute lectures reflect current debates in specialist fields, and underline the goal of the meeting to encourage the dialog between science and society.

The meetings of Nobel Laureates in Lindau are on course to become the largest globally-organised conference in Europe for the scientists of tomorrow. This year, 44 Laureates have confirmed that they will be attending, with more than 700 students participating from 56 countries. Global knowledge networks are established and maintained in a specially set-up alumni database, while young scientists broaden their education in their specific fields before returning to their respective universities with fresh ideas.
The meeting of Nobel Laureates in Lindau is of great benefit to Europe as a scientific and economic location. Broadcasting of the lectures has been made possible with the support of the Internationale Bodenseekonferenz (IBK) and the State of Bavaria.
