Op 15 februari (9-13u) vindt in Den Haag het internationale symposium "Nature and Poverty" plaats. Diverse sprekers belichten het raakvlak tussen natuurbescherming en ontwikkeling, waaronder dhr. Fitrian Ardiansyah van WWF-Indonesië. Hij gaat in op een oplossing voor de problemen die de palmolie-industrie in zuidoost-Azië veroorzaakt: kleinschalige exploitatie. Onder de aanwezigen bevinden zich ook dhr. Papa Samba Diouf van het West African Eco Region Program (WAMER), kenner van de visserij voor de kust van west-Afrika.
In de bijlage vindt u het complete programma; de toegang is gratis.
