Sextant Capital Management has launched and is open for initial subscriptions for 2
Funds. (1) Hybrid2Hedge Resource Fund (2) Global Water Fund. The Funds were created for
private client brokers, discretionary advisors and high net worth individuals. The Fund's
investments and strategy will mirror Sextant's Top performing Canadian Based commodity
fund which returned an unleveraged + 110 this year (according to Globefund). Otto Spork
and Team will manage the offshore product as well, and the Fund will utilize Sextant
Capital's hedging innovation, Sextant Hybrid2Hedge. The strategy allows us to invest in
unique PP (Private Placement) opportunities in the resource sector, and hedge out the
commodity risk through this very effective hedging strategy. The proprietary hedging
strategy allows for relatively unlimited liquidity to affect a hedge with a more directly
correlated instrument.
