Chevron Verkoopt Nederlandse Raffinage Activiteiten aan BP
ROTTERDAM, March 5 /PRNewswire/ --
Texaco Nederland B.V., een indirecte, volledige dochtermaatschappij van Chevron
Corporation, heeft vandaag bekendgemaakt dat zij een overeenkomst heeft gesloten om haar
Nederlandse raffinage-activiteiten en andere activa te verkopen aan BP.
Deze activiteiten omvatten belangen in verschillende joint-ventures in de omgeving van
Rotterdam, waaronder een belang van 31 in de Nerefco raffinaderij, die een produktie heeft
van 400.000 barrels per dag, een belang van 22,8 in opslagfaciliteiten voor ruwe olie,
verschillende bijbehorende pijpleidingen en een belang van 31 in het 22,5 megatwatt
windmolenpark op het terrein van de raffinaderij. BP bezit op dit moment the resterende
69 in de Nerefco raffinaderij en het aangrenzende windmolenpark, maar heeft geen belangen
in de andere activiteiten.
Met de verkoop is een bedrag gemoeid van ongeveer US$ 900 miljoen plus werkkapitaal en
olievoorraden en de afronding zal naar verwachting plaats vinden in de loop van het eerste
kwartaal van 2007, afhankelijk van de goedkeuring van de mededingingsautoriteiten.
Deze verkoopovereenkomst past in het beleid van Chevron om de opbrengsten voor de
aandeelhouders te vergroten door haar activiteiten en investeringen te richten op het
behoud van haar leidende posities in gebieden waar zij al een sterke positie heeft.
