Chevron Verkoopt Service Stations In De Benelux Aan Delek
SAN RAMON, Californië, May 24 /PRNewswire/ --
Chevron Corporation heeft vandaag bekendgemaakt dat haar dochterondernemingen in
België, Nederland en Luxemburg een overeenkomst hebben getekend voor de verkoop van
hun activiteiten op het gebied van brandstofverkoop aan Delek Benelux BV, een in
Nederland gevestigde dochteronderneming van het Israëlische Delek Petroleum.
Naar verwachting zal de verkoop, afhankelijk van de goedkeuring van de
mededingingsautoriteiten, worden afgerond in het derde kwartaal van 2007. Met de verkoop
is een bedrag gemoeid van US$ 460 miljoen (naar schatting EUR 342 miljoen), exclusief een
werkkapitaal correctie ter waarde van ongeveer US$ 30-95 miljoen (naar schatting EUR20-70
miljoen).
Als gevolg van deze verkoop zal Delek de brandstofverkoop activiteiten van Chevron in
de Benelux overnemen, waar onder de 803 service stations, die opereren onder het
Texaco(R) merk, twee brandstofterminals in België en Luxemburg, de belangen in zes
joint venture partners in Nederland alsmede andere aanverwante activa.
Chevron zal haar activiteiten in Europa op het gebied van smeermiddelen, vliegtuig- en
scheepvaartbrandstoffen, handel in brandstoffen, exploratie en productie en
Oronite-additieven voortzetten.
