The Underrated invites Amsterdam Wereldboekenstad
Amsterdam Wereldboekenstad organiseert 24 april een avond rondom de publicatie van 160 tekens, uitgegeven door Meulenhoff. 160 tekens is een nieuwe dichtvorm ontwikkeld door Sofie Cerutti. De gedichten bestaan uit precies 160 tekens, dat is het aantal tekens toegestaan in een sms bericht. Misschien ken je het uit de NRC NEXT.

Bekende en onbekende dichters dragen hun 160 teken gedichten voor, Nowhere spoken word artists maken hun eigen versie van 160 tekens en dragen die live (soms met video) voor. Zangeres/caberetier Neske Beks presenteert de avond en omlijst 'm muzikaal samen met een muzikant. En wellicht tussendoor nog DJ Goldfinger (o.a. Flexbar, Paradiso, Panama, Cafe Pakhuis Wilhelmina, Café Lux, Van Gogh Museum vrijdagavond), maar we moeten nog even kijken of dat niet teveel gaat worden. Ook denken we aan een live interactieve installatie waar mensen 160 teken gedichten kunnen maken en andere (audio)visuele aankleding.

Trumpet player Kurt Weiss from New York sometimes extends the Thaïsa Olivia Quartet.

At the age of ten Simone Honijk started with classical piano lessons and continued these lessons for nine years. However,
over time, singing became her real passion! From the age of 20 she took vocal lessons with professional teachers (pop and jazz styles) and attended many vocal improvisational and interpretational workshops with various professionals. (i.e. Mathilde Santing, Carmen Gomes, Joris Teepe, Sheila Jordan, Jody Gilbert). Since 2003 she has been performing with her own jazz group, "The Simone Honijk Quartet" and as a guest vocalist of different professional jazz ensembles.
