UTRECHT, 20080604 -- Hoe moet het verder met de luchtvaart in Nederland? ScienceGuide en Aerlines Magazine brachten de innovatieve visies 21 experts uit binnen- en buitenland bij elkaar. Het resultaat is de net verschenen bundel Blue Skies or Storm Clouds. Onder de auteurs bevinden zich hoogleraar Peter Nijkamp en topman Athar Hussain Khan van de Association of European Airlines.De bundel verschijnt politiek op een goed moment, zo schrijft minister Camiel Eurlings in het voorwoord: "The range of topics raised shows the dynamic character of the industry and the diversity of issues confronting this sector. From a policy perspective, these essays are much needed and welcome. They come at exactly the right time, because they provide input on three of the most important policy concerns: promoting economic development, ensuring sustainability and tackling infrastructure bottlenecks".
De tweehonderd pagina's tellende bundel vormen een co-productie van de Stichting Aerlines Magazine en uitgeverij Scienceguide.nl. Hoofdredacteur Willem-Jan Zondag van Aerlines Magazine: 'Aerlines publiceert steeds vaker over (internationaal)luchtvaartbele id. Deze artikelen worden altijd met veel enthousiasme gelezen. Dat bracht ons op het idee om een heel boek te wijden aan deze materie'.
