44 EUROPESE FILMS GESELECTEERD VOOR DE EUROPEAN FILM AWARDS 2008

Uitreiking tijdens de 21ste European Film Awards Ceremony zaterdagavond 6 december in Kopenhagen, Denemarken

De European Film Academy en EFA Productions gGmbH kondigen bij deze de vierënveertig films aan die geselecteerd zijn voor een nominatie voor de European Film Awards 2008. De films komen uit 27 landen, waarmee de grote verscheidenheid geïllustreerd wordt van de Europese cinema. Nederland wordt in deze lijst vertegenwoordigd door de film DUSKA van Jos Stelling.

Ook dit jaar is op de leden van de European Film Academy een beroep gedaan een nóg actievere rol te spelen bij het samenstellen van de lijst. In de 20 landen met de meeste EFA leden hebben de leden één film uit eigen land direct voor de selectie mogen uitkiezen. Deze films zijn voorzien van een *. De overige films zijn geselecteerd door een speciale commissie bestaande uit EFA Board members en de filmprofessionals Gunnar Bergdahl (Zweden), Stefan Kitanov (Bulgarije) en Derek Malcolm (UK).

Uit deze selectie zullen de 1800 leden van de European Film Academy in de komende weken de nominaties voor de verschillende categorieën kiezen. Op 8 november worden de nominaties in de verschillende categorieën bekendgemaakt tijdens het Filmfestival van Sevilla in Spanje.

De 21ste European Film Awards met de bekendmaking van de winnaars vindt dit jaar plaats op zaterdagavond 6 december in Kopenhagen, Denemarken.
