Open Text lanceert krachtige Secure Shell Server oplossing
Hoofddorp, 8 december 2008 - Open TextTM Corporation (NASDAQ: OTEX, TSX: OTC), wereldwijd toonaangevend leverancier in Enterprise Content Management (ECM), introduceert de Connectivity Sercure ServerTM, een krachtige schaalbare oplossing voor veilige netwerktoegang van Hummingbird - de Open Text Connectivity Solutions Group. Connectivity Secure Server is gebaseerd op het industriestandaard protocol 'Secure Shell' en biedt snellere overdracht van bestanden met belangrijke data op een kleinere server. Het voldoet daarnaast aan de belangrijkste beveiligingseisen in regelgeving die gelden voor meerdere industrieën.
Industrie standaards en overheidsregelgeving, zoals Sarbanes-Oxley, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) en Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), verplichten organisaties om de beveiliging van bedrijfskritische informatie, zoals creditcard dossiers, patiëntendata of klantinformatie, continu te verscherpen. Jaarlijks gaan miljarden dollars verloren, veroorzaakt door zwakke plekken in de beveiliging. Organisaties staan dan ook onder enorme druk van accountants en aandeelhouders om onveilige legacy systemen af te stoten.
De Connectivity Secure Server biedt een volledige vervanging voor Telnet en FTP servers en biedt dezelfde flexibiliteit en gemak als deze protocollen, maar dan in een veilige omgeving. Dankzij sterke authenticatiemethodes, FIPS 140-2 encryptie en robuuste contentintegriteit zijn netwerkbeheerders in staat om veilige toegang op afstand en veilige dossieroverdracht te bieden, evenals encryptie van het netwerkverkeer.
De Connectivity Secure Server is gebouwd op een zeer efficiënte architectuur en ondersteunt gelijktijdig een groot aantal gebruikers met een minimum aan geheugen- en servercapaciteit. Hierdoor kunnen organisaties onnodige hardware en overtollige energiekosten, die noodzakelijk waren bij de vorige oplossing, verwijderen. Wanneer de oplossing wordt gekoppeld aan Connectivity SecureTerm® - de eerste industrie desktop- en webgebaseerde Secure Shell client - biedt het een kosteneffectieve en krachtige point to point beveiligingsoplossing.
