De marathonproductie de 11St(ee)detocht, heeft een aantal superlatieven in zich en daarom doet het Friese theatergezelschap Tryater een poging om een vermelding te krijgen in het Guinness Book of Records. Hieronder de tekst zoals die is gebruikt in de aanvraag bij de organisatie in Londen.

Record Details: Theatre Company Tryater will do a performance of minimal 12 hours over 201 kilometres. Daily 800 till 1200 people will travel by special theatrical busses through the Friesland region to enjoy a marathon play based on the famous 'Eleven city skating tour' (Elfstedentocht), because of its 100th-year anniversary.
In total there will be 12 performances starting on the 20th of December 2008. Every day a team of 176 people will make sure the audience will have a unique experience. The audience starts in Leeuwarden with a physical challenge, after this they enter one of the 24 busses. In the busses there will be a radio play. After this first outdoor scene there are waiting 9 more stops. The audience will be served food en drinks. At the end of the day the audience has travelled 201 kilometres through our outdoor stage.
Every single visitor is in fact a participator of this expedition.
