Hoi -

Ik heb een nieuwe CD gemaakt genaamd "the ship comes" die je misschien wel interessant vindt.
Hij komt uit op 5 februari.

Mocht je er b.v. een recensie of iets anders over willen schrijven, laat het maar weten dat kan ik alvast een promo-cd opsturen (die is nu al klaar).

Voor dit nieuwe ensemble heeft Bram Stadhouders klankstructuren ontwikkeld waarin geïmproviseerd wordt door internationele muzikanten uit de jazz, klassieke en elektronische hoek. Zij zorgen iedere keer voor een andere invulling van de composities terwijl het idee en de variatie toch duidelijk blijft. Er wordt uitgegaan van een gevoel, kleine melodie of een denkbeeld als inspiratie. Het gaat van compleet verstilde meditaties naar metal beats. Ook de aparte instrumentatie resulteert in een geluid en speelwijze met hints naar moderne jazz, wereldmuziek, orkestrale muziek, noise improv en ambient.

Biografie:
Bram Stadhouders was born in 1987 in Tilburg, The Netherlands. He is interested in atmospheric music through improvisation and composition. He plays guitar, guitarsyntesizer and laptop, as well as some other string instruments.

At the moment he is a composition student at the School of Music and Technology in Utrecht. He's active in various projects, and he's very concentrated on creating his own music, through his duo with Onno Govaert, and also a new larger ensemble. A new CD of this will be recorded and released soon. He also makes solo produced albums every now and then.

His father being a guitar teacher and his mother a classical piano teacher, he was drowned into music since birth. He got classical guitar lessons from his dad when he became 6 years old. He received 2 classical guitar awards when he was 8 and 9.

As a kid he started playing in a rockband and a jazzband, touring through the Netherlands in the biggest venues and events, performing on TV, and winning important Dutch competitions. He also played with great dutch jazz musicians like Harmen Fraanje and Hein van de Geyn.

Bram Stadhouders has gained national recognition in his homecountry the Netherlands. In 2008 he was chosen as a "Young VIP', the most prestigious award for upcoming improvisers, followed by a tour through Hollands most important stages, together with drummer Onno Govaert. Performing on the tv-program 'Vrije Geluiden' has brought his name to a wide audience, and his music has been used for documentairies and the Dutch news overview 08 which is being watched by one million peope.

Bram is always seeking for artistic development and creating music that moves his listeners to higher emotional levels :)
