Uitspraken Ali Abdussalam Treki onacceptabel

VVD Europarlementarier Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert vraagt Raad en Commissie om formeel te reageren:

The newly-installed president of the United Nations General Assembly, Ali Abdussalam Treki, has said that homosexuality is "not really acceptable". According to Ali Abdussalam Treki "there are some countries that allow that, thinking it is a kind of democracy". "I think it is not", he added.

1. Does the Commission/Council agree that his statement is totally unacceptable?

2. Could the Commission/Council inform me (as soon as possible) on what action it has taken in order to formally express its disagreement? If not, why not?
