AMSTELVEEN, 19 November 2009 - HP heeft een nieuwe versie van de HP
Neoview geïntroduceerd: HP Neoview Advantage. Dit enterprise data
warehousing platform is één van de krachtigste op de markt en biedt
klanten de mogelijkheid sneller betrouwbare informatieanalyses te
maken. Voornaamste ontwikkeling is dat HP Neoview Advantage is
gebaseerd op HP's BladeSystem technologie. Daarmee past de
ontwikkeling in de `we blade everything' strategie, zoals ook recent
de ProCurve bladeswitches zijn geïntroduceerd.
HP Neoview Advantage bevat verder upgrades van zowel de software- als
de hardwareonderdelen van HP Neoview. De software upgrade helpt
klanten hun prestaties van het gehele enterprise data warehouse te
verbeteren dankzij veel eenvoudiger beheer. Met de nieuwe HP Neoview
software kunnen organisaties bedrijfskritieke transactionele en
analytische taken verwerken, zodat betrouwbare en directe inzichten in
het bedrijf kunnen worden verkregen.
Het nieuwe hardware platform is gebaseerd op het HP Integrity
BladeSystem. Dit is een 24/7 business critical systeem gebouwd met
blade modules en industriestandaarden. Dit platform biedt twee grote
voordelen: klanten kunnen hun opslagcapaciteit substantieel verhogen
en ze kunnen tegelijkertijd hun datacenter footprint fors verkleinen
dankzij lager stroom- en koelvermogen.
In een onvoorspelbare economische situatie moeten bedrijven real-time
data gebruiken om vooruit te kunnen kijken en zo de juiste
beslissingen te kunnen nemen. Uit onderzoek van The Data Warehousing
Institute (TDWI) blijkt dat 92% van de ondervraagden binnen drie jaar
een real-time data warehousing platform verwacht te hebben. Verder
laat het onderzoek zien dat 68% van de repondenten voorkeur geeft aan
massive parallel processing (MPP) architecture voor hun data
warehouse.(1) Het vernieuwde HP Neoview enterprise data warehouse
platform levert deze mogelijkheden nu al.

Real-time decision making
o Ability to simultaneously load high volumes of information in real
time, analyze hundreds of terabytes of mission-critical data, and
support dramatic increases in user concurrency.
o Real-time access to information through higher performance for
complex queries by scanning data from disks at hundreds of terabytes
an hour.
Lowered total cost of ownership
o Preconfigured, tightly integrated solution that is prebalanced,
prebuilt and pretested using high-volume industry-standard components,
reducing overall system acquisition costs. These components include HP
Integrity BladeSystem and HP StorageWorks disks.
o Manage a large volume of transactional and analytical workloads
simultaneously on a single platform. This can only be achieved by
other vendors through multiple platforms.
Reduced risk of downtime
o HP Neoview is a fault-tolerant system designed to meet the needs of
24/7 business intelligence environments.
o Minimizes the risk of unplanned and planned system downtimes.
