Driedelige Engelse dramaserie over het wel een wee van de rijke familie Holland "boven" en hun sympathieke huispersoneel "beneden" woonachtig op Eaton Place nr. 165 in Belgravia, Londen.

De relatie tussen Lady Agnes en schoonmoeder Maud verbetert niet tot teleurstelling van Sir Hallam. Ook zakelijk loopt het niet allemaal naar zijn zin. Het huispersoneel wordt aangevuld met Rachel na de arrestatie van Johnny. Lady Persie, de zus van Agnes, voelt zich aangetrokken tot de charismatische chauffeur Harry Spargo en zijn politieke ideeën.
