We gebruiken allemaal water om te drinken, koken en wassen. Veel meer water is er echter nodig voor de productie van alledaagse consumptiegoederen zoals voedsel, papier, katoen, enz. Deze film gaat over onze watervoetafdruk.

The father pours wine out while the mother fries a large piece of meat and the girl sits at the table with her phone. The woman turns the gas off and puts the meat on a plate. On-screen text: They should think again.)

(In a supermarket. On-screen text: To serve one juicy steak (250 gr.) a staggering 3,850 litres of water is used, partly to grow soy in Brazil. In a green field plants are watered by a large sprinkler.)

(Back in the house. The boy is suddenly in his boxer shorts. His jeans are folded up and repackaged.)
