together will organise the International Human Rights Day breakfast debate „Achievements and challenges of human rights in Latvia.”

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon during his visit praised Latvia's contribution to human rights and set Latvia as an example for other countries. How does that correspond with the actual human rights situation in Latvia? Are we moving in the right direction? On the occasion of International Human Rights day, we invite you to join us for Human Rights Day breakfast debate to discuss these issues and get feedback from human rights organisations, politicians, human rights experts and activists.
During the discussion you will be addressed by His Excellency the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Latvia Henk van den Dool, hear a presentation from Association of LGBT and their friends MOZAIKA in regards to LGBT rights in Latvia, followed by a discussion on human rights situation with participation of representatives from Shelter "Safe House" „PROVIDUS”, „Latvian Centre for Human Rights", „Non-citizens' Congress”.
Discussion will be held in Latvian, simultaneous translation to English will be provided.
