Mensenrechtendag: Sint Petersburg

The project is implemented by the Youth Human Rights group and the NGO Heart of St. Petersburg ( together with the Institute of Law named after the Prince Oldenburgsky)and it is supported by the Consulate from MRF. The project will last from 2013 to 2016. The main goal of this project is to create a forum for students and teachers for discussion of actual human rights issues and problems of the modern society. 

The following activities will be  organized in the frame of the project :
• Training on the program “Free to choose” together with Anne Frank House
• Debates on Human Rights
• “Olympics”  on human rights
• Training of trainers on human rights issues
• Training for teachers on the program "civic education in schools"

The event planned for Dec 14, is the first event of the planned " Human Rights Olympics." The organizers plan to hold not less than 3 contests "Human Rights Olympics" ( one each year). Each contest will include at least two preparatory training for participants, qualifying stage and final stage. A special event will be held for teachers. The event will involve around 200 students. The theme of the first round is “ Migration and Tolerance”.
