Diplomatieke verklaring over Venezuela
De ministers van Buitenlandse Zaken van Frankrijk, Italië, Nederland, Portugal en Spanje spreken wederom hun zorg uit over de verslechterende politieke en humanitaire situatie in Venezuela. De tekst is alleen beschikbaar in het Engels.
The Foreign Ministers of France, Italy, Portugal, The Netherlands and Spain reiterate their deep concern for the deteriorating political and humanitarian situation in Venezuela. Against this background, they express appreciation for the work of the High Representative/Vice President Mogherini.
The Ministers encourage her to further intensify contacts with international stakeholders in order to promptly set up an International Contact Group. That is aimed at facilitating the dialogue between Venezuela’s authorities and the opposition in order to overcome the current situation.
It is crucial that Europe is ensured with a meaningful presence in such Contact Group so that our common interests are adequately promoted.
