Appointment
ING intends to appoint Ms. Merel Engelbert van Bevervoorde-van
Vroonhoven General Manager of Nationale-Nederlanden in The Netherlands
as of 1 September 2002. Among others she will be responsible for
Corporate Accounts and Employee Benefits Europe. She is the successor
of Flip Klopper who left ING to join the Board of the Dutch Pensions &
Insurance Chamber on 1 May 2002.
Merel Engelbert van Bevervoorde (34) started her career at ING as a
global management trainee in 1993 and has since held several positions
in the Netherlands and abroad. She gained experience in insurance,
project management and corporate accounts.
Merel Engelbert van Bevervoorde is currently a Board Member of ING
Nationale-Nederlanden in Poland.
