HP tekent 7-jarig outsourcing services contract met Unilever ter waarde van 675 miljoen dollar

AMSTELVEEN, 13 februari 2008 - HP en Unilever hebben hun samenwerking uitgebreid met het tekenen van een 7-jarig outsourcing contract voor het managen van Unilevers technologische infrastructuur in Americas, Azië, Afrika, Midden-Oosten en Turkije. HP verzorgt voor Unilever een infrastructuur die is ontworpen om zich snel te kunnen aanpassen aan de veranderende behoeften van de business. HP doet dat met de standaardisatie, virtualisatie en optimalisatie van Unilevers enterprise computing omgeving in genoemde gebieden, als ook Unilevers klantservices omgeving in Azië-Pacific, Turkije, Midden-Oosten en Afrika.

HP zal als centraal contactpunt voor Unilevers enterprise computing omgeving fungeren en samenwerken met Unilevers strategische partners, waaronder SAP, Microsoft en BT, om kosten te verlagen en de integratie van applicaties te vergemakkelijken. HP zal ook third-party contracten managen binnen de technologie omgeving van Unilever in Azië-Pacific, Americas, Turkije, Midden Oosten en Afrika.

De overeenkomst omvat naast het managen van Unilevers IT-processen ook aanvullende service voor de corporate data centers, messaging en directory services, internet en intranet systems hosting, disaster recovery services en de outsourcing van 4.500 multi-vendor UNIX en Windows® servers en storage omgevingen.

Onderdeel van de overeenkomst is de overstap van circa 250 medewerkers van Unilever naar HP.
