BrainModes 2008: Neural oscillations and (multi-)frequency locking
12 december 2008 - 13 december 2008
Doelenzaal, Singel 425, Amsterdam
BrainModes is an annual scientific summit which seeks to explore
innovative means of understanding complex brain activity and
multimodal neuroscience data sets. The inaugural meeting was held in
Berlin last November (see
http://www.berlin-neuroimaging-center.de/workshop) with the aim to
foster an interdisciplinary, open-minded discussion of brain modeling
and multivariate data analysis (EEG, MEG, fMRI, etc). The central
motif is that of "modes" - that is, understanding how complex brain
activity is organized around low dimensional manifolds. The year's
central objectives are neural oscillations and (multi-)frequency
locking.
