Nearly 200 photo and video files of crash site

Hilversum - Over the past few days, more than 40 photographs and videos have been uploaded to the special website created for uploading images of the crash site of downed airliner Flight MH17, bringing the total number of uploaded files to 190.
The images will assist the authorities with their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash, as well as with the victim identification process and with recognizing their possessions. The investigative team is working to put together a picture of the site before, during, and
after the crash, in order to reconstruct the incident. Recent footage and photographs may also be of assistance in this regard.

The call for image files is specifically aimed at individuals in the area, and is therefore being made in Dutch, English, Russian, and Ukrainian. The nearly 200 image files that have already been uploaded are accompanied by Dutch, English, Russian, or Ukrainian text. A journalist working in
the area has called on fellow journalists there to send in their contributions.
